Years and years ago, if you were to ask me what I loved to do.. I would first say knitting (of course) but then I would say that I'm a runner. I was committed to waking up before the sun and watching it rise while I finished off my morning training. Unfortunately, I got injured and one thing led to another and I wasn't running at all, for a long time. I decided to change that, and have been taking a running class through my local running shoe company (Salt Lake Running Company). It's kickstarting my motivation again, and I can't wait to get back to the excitement of running a race in the future! If you're a runner, or someone who wants to start, I'd love to connect with you! It's always good to have a running partner, even if it's virtual!
This is all I have for now, I hope you enjoy this coming week and I hope to have some other good things to share next Sunday!
]]>I've started working on my mental health. Talk therapy isn't very accessible to me, so I've found an app that is helping me work through my needs. The app is called Bloom: CBT Therapy & Self-Care, the cost is lower than in person therapy, and you get daily prompts to continue to improve and work through things you need to!
This amazing tutorial on changing colors and weaving in ends while knitting by lizamakesthings on Instagram! I'll be definitely using this to help with my next project with colorwork.
I've got another FO off the blocking mats! This one is the Peep Show Pullover by Morthunder. It fits like a dream! I can't wait to wear this more when the weather warms up!
]]>Week 03 looked a little something like this...
Dog sitting for my parents, meet Kiki! She's a grumpy old dog, who loves to cuddle and go to bed early. It was so fun having an animal in the house for a few days!
I started following Sharonsaysso on Instagram. She's super knowledgable with anything in regards to the United States Government. She also raised a LOT of money for people in need over the holidays. If you're wanting to know about current events, policies, or overall good content follow her!
I finished my first ever sock! I followed the I'm So Basic Socks pattern by Summer Lee, and used the sock set for the February Knit and Lit club. I'm determined to not get 2nd sock syndrome... so I've already started the 2nd one to hopefully complete this week!
This week, I also teamed up with @charitabrhapsody and @hyggcanyon to help raise money for The Road Home! with a $5 raffle ticket, you will be eligible to win Kim's Sundays in December pattern and yarn to go with it!
And... that's it! thanks for being here! Come back next week for some more highlights. :)
